This book is hilarious, romantic, and suspenseful all at once, and it totally relates to the average teen. Well, if by something an average teen would do, you mean like trying to relax poolside in Vegas only to be attacked by a three legged cat, ruin a wedding, and go to jail all while wearing a wet bikini. Oh, and if you think I just ruined the book for you, that all happened within the first chapter!

So then there are celebrities, and conspiracies, oh and there was the dead body and random notes. Plus, there are valuable life lessons like “A good way to ensure you will never have a boyfriend is to have a large armed man with and uncertain grasp of English heckle you in public” and also “if for some reason the guy still might be interested, following up by having your father rush over right afterward screaming, ‘Jasmine, you know your not allowed to talk to strangers!’ as though you were six will nip it in the bud. Oh, and it helps if your father is wearing a safari suit. With shorts. And knee socks. Because this is his idea of what you were in the desert.”

Definitely a great book and as for the mystery/suspense part, you won’t be able to figure it out. It’s a major surprise ending. Great read and definitely recommended to anyone who wants a good laugh, thinks stereotypes are stupid, or loves a good mystery.
